SOUNDVIEW — A man held a knife up to a woman's neck and pulled her into an alley where he shoved his hand down her skirt, police said Wednesday.

The suspect approached the 34-year-old woman from behind near Westchester Avenue and Metcalf Avenue on Sunday around 1:10 a.m., when he put a knife to her neck and stole her pocketbook, according to the NYPD.

He then pulled her into an alley, where he put his hand inside of her skirt and underwear and touched her, police said.

The suspect fled after the victim screamed, and she went to Jacobi Hospital, according to police.

Officers have released a sketch of the suspect, who they described as a man between 20 and 25 years old who stands between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs between 170 and 190 pounds and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
