BROOKLYN — A 76-year-old man died after getting run over by his own jeep, which he had stepped out of as it was reversing Wednesday afternoon, NYPD officials said.
Michael Mannarino was reversing his Jeep Cherokee in a parking lot at 9714 Seaview Ave., near Rockaway Parkway, about 3:10 p.m., when he stepped out of it as it continued to head in reverse, striking and rolling over him, police said.
Mannarino, who lived in Howard Beach, suffered injuries to his hip and torso and was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital, police said.
