Good Samaritan Stabbed as He Tries to Break Up Street Brawl, Police Say

EAST HARLEM — A man was stabbed multiple times after jumping in to help break up a street brawl, police said.

The 37-year-old was walking on East 119th Street around 5 p.m. on Feb. 12 when he saw an unknown group of people fighting, according to the NYPD's 25th Precinct.

The victim tried to stop the melee but was stabbed three times, once in the chest and twice in his upper right arm, police said.

The victim walked into Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

Officers searched the area but no arrests had been made as of Tuesday afternoon.
