Gunman Ambushes 2 Men in The Bronx, Killing 1, Wounding the Other: Police

THE BRONX — A young man was killed in a double shooting by a gunman who ambushed them in Concourse Village Wednesday night, NYPD officials said.

Two men, ages 18 and 24, were walking past 1195 Sherman Ave. about 9:10 p.m. when the gunman hopped out from behind a parked car to shoot them, sources said.

The 18-year-old, whose name wasn't immediately released, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at Lincoln Medical Center, police said.

The 24-year-old was hit in the buttocks and treated at the same hospital.

The gunman fled and wasn't immediately arrested.
