CHELSEA — A cafe that serves bubble tea and Hong Kong-style egg waffles popular in China is bursting into the neighborhood.

Bubble Bar will officially open its doors at 204 W. 14th St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues, on Feb. 12, owner Jing Jing said.

Freshly-made bubble teas will be on the menu, along with coffee, espresso, non-bubble tea and ice cream, she said.

“I worked for another bubble tea shop before, and I loved it,” said Jing, 26, who moved to the city from Xiamen, China, when she was 15 to attend high school.

The cafe will also serve up Hong Kong-style egg waffles, which resemble bubble wrap and are often filled with cheese, candies like peanut butter cups and M&Ms or “whatever the customer wants,” the owner explained.

The waffles come in several flavors — including vanilla, chocolate and matcha — and can be garnished with toppings like ice cream, fresh fruit, mochi and Pocky, she said.

Though they’re popular in China, Jing says she rarely sees them in New York.

“I want everyone to try it,” she said. “I’m really excited to see their reaction to it.”
