WILLIAMSBURG — A worker inside a Kent Avenue warehouse had his nose broken by his boss after he took a break to get a sip of Gatorade, police said.

The worker took his break at 1:25 p.m. inside 441 Kent Ave. on Jan. 11, police said, when his 34-year-old boss Yeimy Perez got furious at the employee.

Perez started screaming at the 39-year-old to get back to work and pushing him, police said.

The victim told his boss to relax, but the man clocked him in the face, police said.

The worker later went to a hospital near his New Jersey home and was treated for a nasal fracture and three broken nasal bones, prosecutors and police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what kind of job the two were working on at the warehouse.

Perez's Legal Aid attorney didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

After a court appearance on Jan. 12, Perez was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on Feb. 3.

He faces misdemeanor assault, menacing and harassment charges, court records show.
