NYPD Squad Car Windows Shattered in Possible BB Gun Attack, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A parked NYPD patrol car carrying two officers was fired on — possibly by someone with a BB gun — shattering the passenger-side window, police said.

The officers stopped outside the Linden Houses at 215 Wortman Ave., near Vermont Street in East New York, about 12:30 a.m. when something shattered their window, police said.

Police said someone may have shot at them with a BB gun or struck their window with a another object.

Their windshield was also damaged, police said.

There hadn't been any arrests as of Tuesday morning, police said.
