MIDTOWN — Temperatures across the city reached 65 degrees Thursday — shattering the 127-year-old previous record for the date, according to the National Weather Service.

The balmy temperatures were brought on by a warm air mass that moved up from the South, though it was expected to leave the area by nightfall, forecasters said.

Thursday night temperatures will dip to about 42 degrees.

Friday weather is expected to return to normal as the high reaches just 43 degrees, according to the NWS.

Light snow is in the forecast Saturday.
