Man's Face Slashed For Bumping Luggage on 3 Train, NYPD Says

MANHATTAN — A straphanger was slashed across the face after he bumped into another man's luggage on a 3 train Sunday night, an NYPD spokesman said.

The 26-year-old victim, whose name wasn't released, was on the northbound train when he bumped into another man's bags about 9:30 p.m., sparking a fight, police said.

The suspect pulled a knife and slashed the other man across the forehead and right hand, police said.

Both men got off at West 72nd Street and Broadway, officials said.

The victim was treated at Mount Sinai St. Luke's, police said.

The suspect hadn't been arrested as of Monday morning, police said.
