Thief Snatches Bag From Back of Chair at LaGuardia College Library: Police

LONG ISLAND CITY — A man stole a woman's backpack with her laptop inside from the back of a chair in the library at LaGuardia Community College, according to the NYPD.

The suspect snatched the bag after the 20-year-old victim left it unattended at the campus library at 31-10 Thomson Ave. around noon on Dec. 15, police said.

The man fled with the bag containing the woman's Apple MacBook, its case, charger and headphones, according to police.

The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30 years old and wearing a black jacket, a multi-colored scarf, white shirt and dark pants, police said.
