FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A truck with an attached crane for lifting workmen was stolen from the World Trade Center Oculus, police said.

The $16,000 truck was taken from the 185 Greenwich St. transportation hub and mall on Dec. 15, police said.

The rental company that owns the lift waited until Dec. 29 to report the theft, hoping that it would somehow find the vehicle, police said.

The company told police the truck had been secured around 9 p.m. on Dec. 15, but it had disappeared by the next morning.

Port Authority did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
