Man Fatally Stabbed in Bronx Apartment Building, Police Say

THE BRONX — A man was fatally stabbed inside a Claremont Village apartment building Monday morning, the NYPD said.

The 42-year-old victim was found inside of 1291 Hoe Ave. with stab wounds to his head and chest on Jan. 2 around 5 a.m., police said.

Neighbors called 911 after hearing cries for help, police said.

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There had been no arrests as of Monday morning and the investigation is ongoing, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
