Teens Steal 12-Year-Old's Cellphone After Asking to Borrow It, Police Say

PARK SLOPE — Police are looking for two teens who robbed a 12-year-old boy of his cellphone on a Q train platform.

The suspects, believed to be about 16 years old, asked the boy if they could borrow his phone at 4:10 p.m. on Nov. 23, on the southbound Q train platform at Park Place and Seventh Avenue, police said.

When the boy took the phone out of his pocket, one of the two suspects grabbed it and the thieves then ran away, police said.

One of the suspects was wearing a red knit hat and a backpack, the other was wearing a green hoodie and green jacket and backpack and was seen using a student Metrocard, police said.
