GOWANUS — Plans to renovate Ennis Playground are moving forward with a slightly different look.
Community Board 6 on Thursday approved a revised makeover for the playground between 11th and 12th streets near Second Avenue, moving an entrance further away from nearby homes after community feedback.

When the $2.5 million renovation is complete, the playground will have a new basketball court, swings, separate play structures for younger kids and older kids, benches, a spray fountain and a swath of artificial turf.

It will take about nine months to complete the bidding process, and construction is expected to take about a year, according to the Parks Department.
