CHARLESTON — A 72-year-old man stole more than $3,000 worth of vacuums and an espresso machine from Target, prosecutors said.

Christopher Alvino went into the Target at 2900 Veterans Road West with five other people on Nov. 12 and swiped several vacuums and an espresso machine, according to his criminal complaint.

The items were valued at $3,482, prosecutors said.

Alvino was caught on surveillance camera stealing the goods and was arrested on Nov. 29 by police, according to court documents.

He was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny at his arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said. His bail was set at $5,000.

Alvino's lawyer did not want to comment for this story.

Police were still seeking the other five people Monday.
