THE BRONX — It may have been a rainy night but that didn't stop an umbrella-toting mugger from robbing a deliveryman of $60 at gunpoint in Norwood, NYPD officials said.

Police video released Wednesday shows the mugger, with his gun drawn, follow the 54-year-old deliveryman into a vestibule of 3544 Dekalb Ave. about 1 a.m. on Nov. 20, police said.

The mugger's umbrella was crunched between the door and its frame as he confronted the deliveryman, police said.

He stole $60, fled the scene and hadn't been arrested as of Thursday morning, police said. It's unknown why details weren't released earlier by police.

The suspect is between 25 and 35, about 5-foot-9 and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black leather jacket and black pants, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
