QUEENS — Police released new surveillance video of a car suspects used to flee the scene of a home invasion after shooting a correction officer and his wife in Jamaica Sunday night, the NYPD said.

Investigators said they are looking for a light-colored 2011 to 2015 Hyundai Elantra that was used as a getaway car in the robbery.

Two gunmen pushed their way into the home of Sharon Floyd-Wright, 52, and her husband, Henry Wright, 58, on Mathias Avenue near 166th Street, about 7 p.m., police said.

The suspects shot Floyd-Wright in the shoulder, and her husband, a 35-year veteran with the state's Department of Correction, was hit five times in the torso and legs, authorities said.

Both victims were listed in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital, police said.

During the incident, Floyd-Wright was able to whack one of the gunmen over the head with a hammer, sending the suspects fleeing, police said.

One of the suspects ran eastbound on Mathias Avenue and the other one headed westbound.

Police sources said that traces of blood were found near where the getaway car was parked, but they could not immediately say where the vehicle was parked.

Police described the suspects as in their 20s or 30s, wearing black hooded sweaters and blue jeans.

Their motive was still unclear as of Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
