LINCOLN SQUARE — Clear skies and comfortable temperatures drew crowds to one of the biggest holiday festivals in the city Monday night.
The Lincoln Square BID hosted its 17th annual Winter's Eve fest, bringing together more than 30 local restaurants and 20 live performers for an evening of food, music and dancing.

Musical headliner Bettye LaVette, who stepped in for Sharon Jones after she passed away earlier this month, kicked off the evening with Christmas tunes.

LaVette and co-host Justin Guarini also counted down to the lighting of a 27-foot Fir tree in Dante Park at West 63rd Street and Broadway.

Performance artists from the Alice Farley Dance Theater, carolers and the band Karikatura entertained attendees while they sampled local eats.
