LOWER EAST SIDE — A woman punched a 9-year-old girl and her mother on the Delancey Street-Essex Street subway platform Wednesday morning, police said.

Latrice Jasper, 34, attacked the girl in the F, J, M, Z station at Essex and Delancey streets around 11 a.m., according to police.

The girl’s mother tried to stop Jasper, but the woman lashed out and hit the mother in the head, police said.

Jasper was arrested less than an hour after the attack and was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday evening on charges of assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child, court documents show.

Both mother and daughter were taken to Beth Israel Hospital where they were treated for minor bleeding and facial swelling, police said.
