MANHATTAN — They should call in Gotham's finest for this one.

A man in a Batman T-shirt lay in wait in the locker room of the New York Sports Club for nearly an hour to steal a Rolex in October, police said.

The man, who can be seen in surveillance photos released Wednesday morning, slipped past staff at the front desk of the club at 575 Lexington Ave., near East 51st Street, about 10:40 a.m. Oct. 21, NYPD officials said.

He then then waited in the men's locker room for about 50 minutes before breaking open a locker to steal a Rolex watch and fleeing, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what kind of Rolex the man stole. The brand's watches can sell for as much as $120,000.

The suspect is about 30, 6-feet-tall and 250 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
