FORDHAM — A woman was shot in the chest and critically injured in Fordham on Wednesday morning, police said.
The 25-year-old woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, was shot near Webster Avenue and East 180th Street about 1:20 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.
Police responded when they got a ShotSpotter automated notification, the spokesman said.
She was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she's listed in critical condition, police said.
The circumstances of the shooting weren't immediately clear and there weren't any immediate arrests, police said.
