BROOKLYN — The Pennsylvania Avenue station on the 3 line is closing for up to four weeks for repairs after it was struck and damaged by a truck Thursday, the MTA said.
The truck hit the station on Thursday morning and caused significant damage, according to a statement from the MTA.
While the station and tracks have been deemed structurally safe, trains will bypass the station in both directions while the mezzanine is repaired, the MTA said.
The 4 train, which serves the station at night, will also skip Pennsylvania Avenue. For service to and from the station, the MTA says customers can use a free shuttle bus that will run between Pennsylvania and Van Siclen avenues.
