FORT GREENE — A noose and anti-Semitic graffiti were found in Fort Greene Park, authorities said.
The noose was found hanging from a tree on the DeKalb Avenue side of the park by a park visitor around 11 a.m. Monday, the Parks Department said.
Police also found anti-Semitic graffiti on a tree stump nearby a week and a half earlier, the agency added.
Parks Department staff immediately removed the noose and the graffiti before notifying police, an agency spokeswoman said.
Earlier this month, anti-Semitic graffiti was found on a tree stump nearby that read, “They should have gotten rid of you when they had the chance. Hitler,” the Daily News reported.
Police are investigating both incidents as hate crimes and no arrests have been made, the paper added.
