MIDTOWN — A teenage boy died after he jumped in front of a southbound A train in a 42nd Street subway station Tuesday morning, police said.
The 16-year-old boy, whose name wasn't immediately released, was hit about 8 a.m. in the station under the Port Authority Bus Terminal, an NYPD spokesman said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, an FDNY spokesman said.
The incident sparked widespread disruptions across the A, B, C, D, E, F and M trains, but regular service resumed about 9:30 a.m., the MTA said.
