VIDEO: Gun-Toting Thief Steals 15-Year-Old's Bike in Flatbush

FLATBUSH — Police are looking for a young man who stole a bicycle from a 15-year-old at gunpoint in the neighborhood last month.

The NYPD said the suspect threatened the victim with a handgun as the teen rode his bike on the corner of Cortelyou Road and East 17th Street in Ditmas Park at 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 30.

The suspect then forcibly took the 15-year-old’s backpack and bicycle, and fled.

The victim was uninjured during the robbery, police said. The NYPD identified the suspect on surveillance footage taken nearby the scene of the theft. In it, the suspect walks along a sidewalk wearing a blue sweatshirt and matching pants.

Police say the suspect is approximately 20 years old and 5-feet-8-inches tall. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS or for Spanish, (888) 57-PISTA (74782).
