OLD TOWN — A man stole nearly 100 cans of Red Bull from a Staten Island CVS, prosecutors said.

Stephen Hartie, 31, first went into the CVS at 1361 Hylan Blvd. on Oct. 1 and put 30 cans of the energy drink into a shopping cart and walked out of the store about 6:30 p.m., authorities said.

He returned to the CVS on Oct. 19 and put 54 Red Bulls into a black duffel bag and walked out of the store at 12:05 p.m., prosecutors said.

Hartie was arrested that night and charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property at his Oct. 20 arraignment, according to the Staten Island District Attorney's office.

He was released without bail and is due back in court Wednesday, according to online court records.

Hartie has been arrested three other times this year and charged with assault, petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance, court records show.

His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
