STATEN ISLAND — A man severely injured both of his legs when he crashed his car on the Staten Island Expressway Monday, police said.
The victim was driving on the Brooklyn-bound side of the highway when he lost control of his car and crashed into the side of the road at about 8:30 a.m., a spokeswoman for the NYPD said.
He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.
