Correction Department Staffer Offered Cash for Sex on Roosevelt Ave.: NYPD

JACKSON HEIGHTS — A Department of Correction employee was arrested late Thursday and charged with trying to pick up a prostitute on Roosevelt Avenue, police said.

Kevin Garner, 62, offered money to a prostitute in exchange for sex at the corner of 77th Street and Roosevelt Avenue just before midnight Thursday, according to the NYPD.

He was arrested and charged with patronizing a prostitute. The details of his arraignment were not immediately available.

The Department of Correction said they were looking into the incident.
