MANHATTAN —  Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani apologized Wednesday for saying Hillary Clinton was absent during the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 — despite the fact that she was there beside him.

Giuliani made the 9/11 comments during a rally for Donald Trump in Florida.

"I was there that day," he said. "I don't remember seeing Hillary Clinton there."

Giuliani apologized for the remark later on Wednesday.

"I made a mistake. I'm wrong and I apologize," he told the Associated Press.
