BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A seven-story building is set to rise along Gates Avenue containing 112 apartments, according to filed city permits.

The planned development at 639 Gates Ave., between Throop Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard, would include parking for 20 cars, a laundry room, storage for more than 50 bicycles and “open recreation space” on the roof, filings show.

The building, near the Ideal Food Basket supermarket, will take over a large parking lot on the avenue, as reported by New York YIMBY.

A representative for the owner of the property, Willard J. Price Associates, LLC, was not immediately available for comment.

The LLC also owns the nearby building at 671-685 Gates Ave., near Marcus Garvey Boulevard, which shares a lot with the planned development, records show.
