HARLEM — A man who slashed a stranger multiple times in a random attack has been arrested, police said.

Perez Flores, 36, walked up behind the 26-year-old victim on Sept. 29 around 11:35 p.m. on Third Avenue at East 117th Street and slashed him multiple times with an unknown object, police said.

The victim was cut down his back and his inner and outer left thigh, police said.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital for treatment and identified Flores as his attacker, according to police.

Flores was charged on Sept. 30 with assault with an intent to cause harm, according to court records.

He was held on $5,000 bail and scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 6, according to court records.

An attorney for Flores could not be reached for comment.
