LOWER MANHATTAN — Two pedestrians walking along Broadway had iPhones grabbed out of their hands on Saturday night, within minutes of each other, police said.

A 43-year-old Brooklyn man told police that a thief yanked his phone from his hands as he crossed Broadway at Park Place, at about 9:55 p.m.

About five minutes later, a Lower Manhattan woman had her iPhone ripped from her hand by a man as she walked on Broadway, a few blocks south, at Liberty Street.

Police said they did not know if the thefts were related. They were still investigating the crimes.
