By Katie Honan | September 21, 2016 3:37pm

CORONA — An alleged gang member was sentenced to nine years in prison for trying to kill a rival gang member in a nightclub last December, according to the DA's office.

Jose Sanchez-Ortiz, 22, pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder in August.

On Dec. 14, 2015, he shot at 21-year-old Jose Apolinar — of Los Niños Malos gang — at Pasiones club on 103rd Street, according to officials.

Apolinar was struck in the left arm and treated at a local hospital after the shooting, police said.

Sanchez-Ortiz told police he "did not care" if the victim died, according to the criminal complaint.
