MEATPACKING DISTRICT — A new Tesla showroom and service center is coming to the Meatpacking District, The Real Deal reported.

The electric car company will leave its existing Chelsea showroom at 511 West 25th St. and relocate to the ground floor of a recently completed 10-story office-and-retail building at 860 Washington St., according to the magazine.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Tesla signed a lease for about 7,800 square feet of space, with more than 180 feet of corner frontage, the majority of which is along West 13th Street, The Real Deal reported.

The publication did not specify the car company's rent, but reported that a source said asking rent for the ground floor is about $600 per square foot.

Tesla also opened a showroom in Red Hook at 160 Van Brunt St. in March.
