Off-Broadway Week is back for a revival, offering two-for-one tickets to 34 plays and musicals.

Discounted tickets for performances of shows like the raunchy puppet musical "Avenue Q" and the children's book-inspired two-person production "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," taking place from Sept. 26 to Oct. 6, went on sale Monday morning.

The promotion's lineup includes Off-Broadway workhorses like "Blue Man Group," and "STOMP," along with recently debuted productions like "Marie and Rosetta," a play about the Gospel guitarist Sister Rosetta Tharpe and her protegé, and the drama "Aubergine."

You can get your laughs in the audience at "90210! The Musical," a spoof of the '90s high school drama, or "Drunk Shakespeare," an alcoholic interpretation of the Bard's work.

For kids we recommend "The Physics Show," featuring science experiments that reveal the nature of the physical world, and "Gazillion Bubble Show," which is self-explanatory.

Off-Broadway Week, a promotion launched in 2009, is produced by the city's official marketing, tourism and partnership organization and The Off-Broadway League, an industry nonprofit.
