LONG ISLAND CITY — Dozens of affordable apartments are up for grabs in a rental building across from MoMA PS1, with studios available for as low as $850 for eligible applicants.
The 35 affordable units are located at 2222 Jackson Ave. near Crane Street, an 11-story building designed by architectural firm ODA which opened this spring with a fitness center, indoor pool with a skylight, a roof deck and a lounge with televisions and ping pong tables.

Prospective tenants have until Nov. 9 to apply for the affordable apartments, which include 10 studios renting for $850 a month for those earning between $29,143 and $38,100 a year.
There are 16 one-bedrooms available for single applicants who earn between $31,303 and $38,100, or for two-person households that make $31,303 to $43,500 annually.
A handful of two and three-bedroom units are also up for grabs for $1,105 and $1,274 a month, respectively. The exact range of income requirements for each can be found here.
