UNION SQUARE — A Brooklyn man groped a woman as she walked through Union Square last week according to a police report.
The victim, 31, was walking near Union Square East and East 14th Street just after 6 p.m. on Sept. 1 when Leon Miller, 27, came up from behind and grabbed her butt, police said.
The woman managed to get away from him but followed him at a distance and called police, who caught him nearby, police said.
Prosecutors charged Miller with two counts of forcible touching and one count of sexual abuse, records show. A judge released him without bail and he was due back in court on Wednesday, according to online records.
A lawyer for Miller did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
