SOHO — Customers at the Uniqlo in SoHo will get free iced matcha lattes and other specialty drinks every weekend throughout the month of September.
The beverages are courtesy of a pop-up MatchaBar outpost to celebrate the store's recent redesign. The pop-up will give away 500 free drinks every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The partnership is meant to symbolize the brand's theme of "the New Tokyo in SoHo," a spokeswoman said, connecting the store's SoHo shoppers to the company's Japanese origins.
More local partnerships are in the works, according to the spokeswoman.
