MANHATTAN — A teenager was arrested Wednesday, a day after he stabbed a man in the hand after fighting with him in the 125th Street 2 and 3 train station, police said Thursday.

Victor Cherry, 17, stabbed a 42-year-old man in his left hand and slashed his right hand at around 8 p.m. in the train station at West 125th Street and Lenox Avenue, police said.

The two men had been arguing near the turnstiles when the younger man pulled out a knife, slashed the victim and fled the station, police said.

The victim sustained injuries to both hands but refused medical attention at the scene.

Cherry, of Allerton, can be seen holding a knife in the station’s surveillance footage police released Wednesday, they said.

Cherry was arrested Wednesday on charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing, police said.
