BROOKLYN — A woman sitting on a bench was randomly shot in a Cypress Hills park Monday night, police said.
The 49-year-old woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, was inside Cypress Hills Playground near Euclid Avenue and Dumont Street about 8:40 p.m. when she was shot in the back, an NYPD spokesman said.
She was treated at Brookdale Hospital, where she's listed in stable condition, police said Tuesday morning.
There were no immediate arrests, police said.
It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the gunfire.
