Two-for-one tickets for 19 Broadway shows, including "Fiddler on the Roof," "Cats" and "The Lion King", went on sale Thursday morning as part of the biannual NYC Broadway Week program.

Tickets are for performances from Sept. 5 to 18, according to the event's website.

New shows participating in Broadway Week — a promotion launched in 2011 by the city's official marketing, tourism and partnership organization to boost tickets sales in the slower fall and winter months — include "Cirque du Soleil Paramour" and "Holiday Inn", in addition to "Cats".

Other productions on the list: "The Humans," winner of a 2016 Tony award for "Best Play"; the Tony-nominated musical "School of Rock"; and "The Color Purple" which won a Tony for "Best Revival of a Musical".

As we noted in January, smash Broadway hit "Hamilton" — even after hemorrhaging most of its original cast members — isn't part of the promotion.
