LONG ISLAND CITY — A man riding a motorcycle on the entrance ramp to the Queensboro Bridge crashed into an SUV and was thrown from his bike, falling to his death into a parking lot below, according to the NYPD.

Joshua Persaud, 26, was driving his Honda motorcycle west onto the bridge at the Thomson Avenue entrance ramp shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday when he hit the driver's side of a 2011 Toyota Highlander and was launched from his bike, police said.

Persaud then slid across the roadway, falling off the ramp and into the parking lot of Silvercup Studios below, according to police.

Persaud, of Queens Village, was taken to New York Cornell Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene. There were no charges in connection to the crash, police said.
