BROOKLYN — Police are asking for help in finding a waddling arsonist suspected of setting seven tractor trailers on fire in East New York last month.

The suspect — seen on security video with a very distinctive walk and wearing a white hoodie and white pants — hopped out of a white box truck near Stanley Avenue and Essex Street at 2:50 a.m. on July 31 and got into seven different tractor trailers by breaking their windows, the NYPD said.

Once inside, he lit flares. All of the trucks were unoccupied at the time and no one was injured, police said.

The suspect fled in the white box truck, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
