Fire Breaks Out in Ipanema Bar NYC on 14th Street, FDNY Says

WEST VILLAGE — A fire broke out in Ipanema Bar NYC on West 14th Street Tuesday night, an FDNY spokesman said.

The flames erupted between the first floor and basement of 252 W. 14th St., near Eighth Avenue, minutes after 10 p.m., the spokesman said.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control about 10:34 p.m., officials said.

Fire marshals will determine what sparked the fire, officials said.

There were no reported injuries, an FDNY spokesman said.

Bar staff couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

It wasn't immediately clear how the fire will affect business.
