THE BRONX — A woman and a man were standing at a Mount Hope intersection when they were hit by stray bullets from a shooting Monday night, police said.

The pair, a 20-year-old woman and 63-year-old man who didn't know each other, were at Grand Concourse and East 179th Street, about 6:30 p.m. when they heard shots ring out and felt pain, an NYPD spokesman said Tuesday.

They were both treated at St. Barnabas Hospital, where they're listed in stable condition, the spokesman said.

There were no immediate arrests, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the gunfire.
