CROWN HEIGHTS — A 32-year-old woman was groped and robbed for one dollar by a man who cornered her in the stairwell of her apartment building last week, police said.
The woman was walking down the stairs in her Montgomery Street building around 6:30 a.m. on July 20 when an unknown man came up behind her, stuck her in the back with a sharp object and demanded money.
The woman gave him one dollar, police said. The man then grabbed her breasts, backside and genitals over her clothing and fled on foot toward Schenectady Avenue.
The suspect has not yet been identified and there have been no arrests in the case, police said.
