Knife-Wielding Man Tries to Rob Woman at 7 Train Station, Police Say

CORONA — Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a woman at knifepoint at the Corona Plaza 7 train station in May.

The suspect approached a 44-year-old woman who was waiting for the 7 train at 103rd Street-Corona Plaza on Wednesday, May 25 at around 1:13 p.m., police said.

He displayed a knife and demanded some of her property, although it's unclear what he wanted, police said. The victim refused and the suspect then fled northbound on the 7 train.

He's between 19 and 21-years-old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs roughly 150 lbs, police said. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored t-shirt, multi-colored jeans, black sneakers and a New York Yankees baseball hat.
