By Ewa Kern-Jedrychowska | July 8, 2016 2:44pm | Updated on July 10, 2016 2:05pm

QUEENS — A pedestrian was hit and had his leg crushed beneath a fuel truck as he walked across a busy Jamaica street just after noon on Friday, fire officials and witnesses said.

The truck's driver was headed northbound on 168th Street when he struck a man walking mid-block just north of Jamaica Avenue at 12:20 p.m., the FDNY and police sources said.

The truck crushed the man’s leg, according to Yvonne Feliciano, who works at a nearby RadioShack.

“It was bad,” she said. “It was a big truck carrying fuel.”

The man, who suffered severe leg injuries, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, police officials said.

The pedestrian was trying to cross the street outside of a crosswalk, law enforcement sources said. No charges were expected to be brought against the driver, sources said.
