Cereal fans who thought their Frosted Flakes were already more than good might want to reconsider.
A cafe opening in Times Square on July 4 will serve up breakfast staples like Special K, Rice Krispies and Froot Loops all day — with “elevated” toppings like pistachios, chai tea powder and lemon zest.
Kellogg’s NYC, at 1600 Broadway, between West 48th and West 49th streets, “will be a destination that reminds guests of home and drives new curiosity around the cereal bowl,” Kellogg Company said in a release.
The cafe’s “milk-based” and “ice cream-based” offerings will range in price from $6 to $8.
Items on the menu include the “Pistachio Lemon” — a bowl of Special K and Frosted Flakes topped with pistachios, lemon zest and thyme — the “Berry Me in Green Tea” with Rice Krispies, fresh strawberries and green tea powder, and the “Life in Color” — an ice cream-based dish with Froot Loops, lime zest, marshmallows and passion fruit jam.
Honey Smacks, Crispix, and Cracklin' Oat Bran creations will also be available.
“I’ve been a cereal lover since I was a kid,” Milk Bar chef Christina Tosi, who developed many of the menu items, said in a statement.
The cafe, which plans to offer take-out and delivery options, will also let patrons create their own cereal concoctions.
“I believe in the excitement a bowl of cereal can bring any time of day and I’m so excited to bring back a household staple in a fun, creative way," Tosi said.
