LOWER EAST SIDE — A man robbed two people parked near the Baruch Houses by brandishing his cellphone like a gun, using it to pummel one victim over the head before making off with a wad of cash on June 12, according to authorities.

The man and woman were sitting in a car parked near 521 Roosevelt Drive at around 12:40 a.m. when the suspect burst in the right back door and pointed his phone at them, simulating a gun, and said “Give me your money, don’t f--- around,” police said.

The man forked over his wallet, which contained a credit card, two debit cards, and $50 in cash, police said.

The suspect bashed the woman over the head with his cellphone before exiting the car and fleeing on foot in an unknown direction, according to authorities.

The suspect is described as a man standing at around 5-foot-10, weighing 220 pounds, with long, black hair pulled into a ponytail, according to a police report.

No arrests have been made, police said, and the investigation is ongoing.
